PER CURIAM.

The defendant was convicted of the offense of forgery defined in section 718.1 of the Code of 1950, I.C.A., and of being a habitual criminal in that he had twice previously been convicted of specified felonies as defined in section 747.1 of the Code, I.C.A.; and was sentenced to confinement in the state penitentiary at Fort Madison, Iowa, for a period not exceeding forty years, and to pay the costs.
