Defendant has appealed from a judgment in favor of plaintiff for $750. In this suit, plaintiff claims $900 as the amount due on a verbal contract by which he agreed to dig across a portion of the property of defendant known as Star Ranch, in St. Charles Parish, a ditch approximately 3000 feet long, 3½ feet deep, with a width at the bottom of approximately 6 feet.
