This is an appeal from a conviction of a charge of assault. The facts briefly are as follows: The complaining witness, Lee Posten, testified that while visiting the home of a friend appellant Hackett, hereinafter called the defendant, came into the house and words were exchanged; that defendant cut him over the left eye, over the left ear, and on the back of the head.
