This suit was instituted in the Circuit Court of Lawrence County purportedly by the State of Tennessee for the use and benefit of Lawrence County to recover of the defendant the sum of $128,226 "for salary and interest illegally received." It is in the form of a bill in the Chancery Court and prays that the defendant be required to appear and answer (as in a Chancery cause) on a certain rule day, etc. It is not signed by either the District Attorney...
