This is a suit for compensation brought under Paragraph 2 of LSA-R.S. 23:1221 (formerly Paragraph B of Subsection 1 of Section 8 of the Employer's Liability Act, Act No. 20 of 1914, as variously amended) for an injury alleged to have produced permanent total disability to do work of any reasonable character.

The facts of the case are not seriously disputed and we find them to be as follows:
