The defendant was convicted of theft and sentenced to serve three years in the penitentiary. He has appealed from the conviction and sentence.

The defendant was jointly indicted with one Cecil King for theft. Cecil King moved for a severance on the ground that he and the defendant should be tried separately because their defenses were antagonistic. The severance was granted and the case against each of the co-defendants was fixed for trial...
