In this criminal prosecution of State of West Virginia against Virginia Comstock, the defendant was indicted, tried and convicted in the Court of Common Pleas of Cabell County of involuntary manslaughter, in that, the indictment charges that she "unlawfully did kill and slay Pauline Cook, against the peace and dignity of the State", and was sentenced to be confined...
