Juanita B. Maddux, as beneficiary named therein, brought this suit against The National Life and Accident Insurance Company to recover upon a life insurance policy issued by defendant to her husband, Nathan G. Maddux. She alleged the policy was in force and her husband was dead.

The suit was defended on the ground that Nathan G. Maddux committed suicide.
