Albany Avenue in West Hartford runs east and west; North Main Street runs north and south. These important highways intersect at Bishop's Corners in the midst of a large residential district. All four corners are zoned "business 1." On March 7, 1951, the town council approved an extension of the business zone on the southwest corner.
