In the spring of 1950 Perl Stutzman a grower of sweet corn secured a loan from S.C. Battaglia and John L. Horning to be used in producing his crop. J.R. Gardner and R.C. Potter were engaged in the air plane dusting Service and were employed by Stutzman to frost fly and dust his crop with insecticides. April 19, 1950, Stutzman executed non-interest bearing promissory notes to Horning and Battaglia for $30,000 and $30,973.51 respectively, the said...
