Plaintiffs in an equity action sought to recover from defendant, J. F. Carlson, former County Treasurer of Pocahontas County, Iowa, and the surety on his official bond the sum of $827.88. The plaintiffs in their petition claim that at the time Carlson turned over to his successor the funds then on hand, there was a deficit in his accounts in the amount previously mentioned.
