The Hampton Roads Sanitation District covers a wide area embracing as it does the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, and South Norfolk, the counties of Elizabeth City and Warwick, and portions of the counties of Princess Anne, Norfolk, Isle of Wight, Nansemond, and York.
