This action was brought by Selected Investments Corporation against the defendants, Gabe Humphrey and Patsy Humphrey, to collect certain promissory notes made by the defendants and to foreclose real estate mortgages given to secure the notes. Defendants admitted the giving of the notes and the execution of the mortgages; pleaded usury and sought by cross-petition to recover a sum equal to the amount of the notes and interest due as usury.
