Defendant, Harry Kurrle, was tried, convicted and sentenced under an information filed by virtue of the general embezzlement statute, CL 1948, § 750.174 (Stat Ann § 28.371). He was charged with having embezzled the sum of $105 from the department of social welfare of Shiawassee county, Michigan.
