The plaintiff, Paul J. Quinn, brought suit under the Federal Employers' Liability Act (45 U.S.C., secs. 51-59) to recover damages for personal injuries alleged to have resulted from defendant's negligence. The jury returned a general verdict for $70,000 and answered a special interrogatory adversely to defendant. Motions for a new trial and for judgment non obstante veredicto were denied and judgment entered...
