At the November, 1948, term of the Court of General Sessions for York County, Judge J. Henry Johnson presiding, the appellant pled guilty to three indictments charging him with "entering a house to commit a crime," and separate charges of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. He was sentenced in the first case to six months, and to a term of two years in the assault and battery cases...
