This libel was brought in admiralty under the Suits in Admiralty Act, Title 46 U.S.C.A. § 741 et seq., and the Public Vessels Act, Title 46 U.S.C.A. § 781 et seq. The libellant's employer, the Gibbons Engineering & Machine Co., Inc. of Boston was impleaded by the respondent United States of America, owner of the vessel "S.S. Plymouth".
