The original action was brought by petitioner to review an award made to claimant who sustained an accidental injury on July 16, 1951, while driving a taxicab. The cause and extent of the disability are not at issue in this proceeding.

The sole contention made by petitioner is that claimant was not an employee but an independent contractor. This is a jurisdictional question and this court will make an independent review of the evidence to determine...
