An almost unbelievable number of steps have been taken in this involved controversy, but fortunately not all are important in this phase of the matter.

Within a few weeks after the injury, the claimant filed her application for compensation. This she was allowed and paid for temporary total disability for a period of approximately four months beginning March 18, 1948.
