This is a petition for writ of habeas corpus. Relator, Frank Harris, was indicted for murder, April Sessions, 1926, No. 944. On his affidavit of destitute circumstances, counsel were appointed by the court on April 29, 1926. The trial on September 21, 22 and 23, 1926, resulted in a verdict of guilty of murder in the first degree with the penalty fixed at life imprisonment. The jury was polled, and each juror announced his verdict...
