Belle O. Brayton was the owner of business property in Everett, Washington. She had leased it to the Washington Gas & Electric Company for a rental of $250 per month. During the term of the lease, the lessee had subjected itself to the jurisdiction of the bankruptcy court in the state of New York and a trustee had been appointed.
