On July 7, 1946, the decedent sustained accidental injuries which resulted in his death on the same day. Decedent was employed as a laborer and as second helper on an open hearth steel furnace. On the day in question, which was an extraordinarily hot one, and while the decedent was engaged in the regular course of his employment, the furnace upon which he was working broke down, as a result of which it became necessary to remove the hot steel, take the heat out of the furnace...
