This case involves the custody of a minor. On September 16, 1950 appellants filed their verified petition in the court below for leave to adopt Alvin Dale Gillian, a boy eleven years of age. They alleged, among other things, that the boy's natural mother, Mrs. Mildred Gillian Tucker, had given her written consent to the adoption.
