Petitioner was originally sentenced in the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire on October 18, 1944, to a term of three years. Thereafter on April 10, 1945, he was sentenced in the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska to an additional eighteen months to be served consecutively, thereby making a total term for service of four and one-half years.
