LUMPKIN, Justice.

This is a usury case. On October 8, 1951, the appellee, Earl G. Atkinson, purchased a second-hand automobile from a Dallas second-hand car dealer known as "Goss on Ross, Tradin' Hoss." In the course of the transaction, the appellee executed his note for the principal sum of $868.50, payable to the dealer. It was later discounted by Goss on Ross to the appellant, National Bond & Investment Company....
