1. Where, as in this case, a suit for divorce is brought by the wife on the ground of cruel treatment, and prays that the custody of the minor child of the parties be awarded to her, and for the recovery of temporary and permanent alimony for the support of herself and child, and the defendant files an answer and cross-bill, in which he denies the allegations of cruel treatment, and denies that the plaintiff is entitled to a divorce or to alimony...
