Plaintiff instituted this action for $10,000 for personal injuries sustained in an automobile collision at the intersection of Eighth Street and Franklin Avenue in St. Louis. A jury returned a verdict for plaintiff awarding $100 damages. Plaintiff filed a motion for a new trial assigning as a ground therefor that the verdict was so grossly inadequate "as to be conclusive evidence of the fact that it was the result of passion and prejudice...
