The defendant was convicted on a charge of violating section 678.5 of the Vehicle Code, and appeals from the judgment. On appeal he contends that he did not violate this section, and further, that it is void for uncertainty.

Section 678.5 was added to the Vehicle Code in 1951, and so far as material here reads as follows: "No person shall operate on any highway any motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer unless equipped with fenders, covers, or devices...
