Appellant was convicted of the murder of his five year old granddaughter, Mary Louis Hill, and sentenced to death. He made a confession of the crime. That was introduced against him. His main contention on this appeal is the confession was not admissible as evidence. He says it was not competent as evidence, first because when he made it he was being illegally detained in jail and had not been charged...
