Guiteau brought this suit to recover $425.46, paid by him for repairs to his Pontiac automobile, made necessary when that car was in collision with a truck owned by Alexander Semel and driven by an employee in the course of his employment by Semel, who operates a pressing and dry cleaning business in New Orleans.
