A policy of National Service Life Insurance in the face amount of $10,000 was issued to Coy H. Jones during his service in the Armed Forces of the United States in World War II. The policy of insurance lapsed for nonpayment of premiums on November 11, 1947, and the veteran died nearly two years later on November 6, 1949. His widow, the appellant here, brought this action to recover the face amount of the policy. She alleges that at the time...
