This appeal is from verdict and judgment for $5,000.00 actual damages for wrongful death. Section 411, 412, Code of 1942. The twenty-nine year old deceased was an unmarried son of a widowed mother with younger children in whose support he aided by his earnings as a truck driver. He left his mother's home late on the Sunday afternoon of March 7, 1948, and was struck and killed by a fast passenger train at a little after eleven...
