On March 12, 1949, Ruth D. Wooley was killed as the result of a collision between an automobile driven by her and a freight train operated by the Chicago & North Western Railway Company. The accident occurred at the intersection of the main street of Ree Heights, South Dakota, and the tracks of the defendant company. Harrold W.
