This suit was brought by McManor Plantation, an agricultural partnership composed of Frank S. Noel and J. Meredith Noel, against the defendant, Joseph P. Rouse, for the balance due on the purchase price of a sale of potatoes. It was alleged in the petition that on May 4, 1950, two carloads of potatoes were sold to defendant for the price of $1,375, which amount was paid by means of a draft drawn on H. C.
