Appellant was charged by the first count of an information with escape (Pen. Code, § 4532) and by the second with injuring a jail structure (Pen. Code, § 4600). Four prior felony convictions were alleged. He pleaded not guilty to both counts but admitted the prior convictions. A jury found him guilty of both offenses and he was sentenced to the penitentiary, the sentences to run concurrently. This...
