Walter J. Britton, Jr., was the only child of Walter J. Britton and Margaret Moore Britton. He was never married, and died resident in Spartanburg County on July 30, 1949, leaving a will naming his father executor and sole beneficiary. His father had died May 4, 1947, and his mother had died some years before then.
