In the summer of 1944 the appellee, Laketon Wheat Growers, Inc., of Gray County, Texas, was engaged in the business of buying and storing wheat for farmers. The appellant, H. E. Gray, asked the appellee for an advance of $1,470.75 to defray the expenses of his wheat harvest.
