1. The defendant moved for a mistrial, which motion was overruled by the court, and error is assigned thereon in the third special ground of the amended motion for new trial. While the defendant was making his supplemental statement to the jury, he pulled from his pocket his U. S. Army discharge in order to read therefrom, when the prosecuting attorney objected, stating to the court "I doubt that the defendant in his statement can take an envelope or information...
