The plaintiff brought this action to recover for personal injuries sustained by a fall alleged to have been caused by the defendants' negligence in failing to remedy the slippery condition of a private walk due to pieces of fruit or other debris thereon. On April 20, 1943, the defendant Antupit had for some time been the owner of an apartment house at Park Street and Rowe Avenue in Hartford.
