This is an action at law on a written sealed contract between the parties dated on January 4, 1938, while both were domiciled in New York, after the parties had ceased to live together as husband and wife. The contract provided that the defendant would pay the plaintiff $4,615 at once and give her his note for $6,000 payable January 2, 1943, without interest. It provided that beginning January 1, 1938, and thereafter so long as the plaintiff should not...
