Under the common law a wife's residence follows that of the husband. That rule, however, has been deviated from in Wisconsin in divorce cases. In the case of Gray v. Gary, 232 Wis. 400, 287 N. W. 708, the husband moved to Chippewa Falls because of his work. His wife refused to move and remained in Eau Claire.
