This action was brought by Luiel J. Johnson and Mettie B. Johnson against the city of Ilwaco to recover damages for injuries claimed to have been sustained by Mrs. Johnson as a result of the condition of a sidewalk maintained by the city. The case was tried before a jury. The plaintiffs were awarded a verdict. The court granted the motions of defendant for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict and for a new trial.
