Defendant appeals from a judgment in favor of plaintiff based upon an action for damages for breach of an alleged oral contract of employment.

Plaintiff's complaint alleges generally that on August 1, 1948, plaintiff and defendant entered into an oral agreement whereby plaintiff was employed as manager of defendant's theatre at Lamont, California, for a period of one year, commencing on that date, at a weekly salary of $100 per week, payable weekly...
