This litigation arose out of the tangled affairs of one Charles E. Silva. The appellant here, plaintiff below, is the widow of said Charles E. Silva, who died July 26, 1949. She instituted suit against the appellee here, the defendant below, seeking to recover the balance of some proceeds derived from some insurance policies collected by the defendant, which policies had been assigned to the bank on April 10, 1945, as security for payment...
