These are companion cases in which plaintiff seeks to recover compensation from two insurers of the same employer, on the ground that he suffered two separate accidents. The first suit was filed on May 29, 1949 against National Automobile & Casualty Insurance Company of Los Angeles, California, who provided compensation insurance for plaintiff's employer on June 4, 1948, the date of the first accident.
