On April 23, 1948, the plaintiff, L.C. Carter, filed his petition for divorce against the defendant, Ruth Ellen Carter, and for grounds alleged that the conduct of the defendant, which is not necessary to enumerate, amounted to gross neglect of duty and extreme cruelty.
