The defendant, Alex Rawls, was originally charged by an information filed in the district court of Love county with the crime of attempted rape allegedly committed upon one Wilma Marie Hartman, a six year old girl. His sentence of seven and one-half years upon conviction in that court was set aside upon appeal because of the failure of the court to grant the defendant a change of venue after he had made a proper showing entitling him to it.
