An indictment has been returned by the Grand Jury of this county charging the defendants with the crime of conspiracy and with violation of section 896 of the New York City Charter.

The defendants demur to the indictment upon the grounds that the conspiracy count of the indictment, in charging more than one crime, contravenes the provisions of sections 278 and 279 of the Code of Criminal Procedure...
