The parent case here upon appeal was filed July 19, 1949. In 1938, C. Howard Hook, a resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Harold S. Ackerman, a resident of Larchmont, New York, together organized "Hook & Ackerman, Inc.", under the incorporation laws of Pennsylvania. In August of 1939, Ackerman applied for a patent appertaining to a gas boiler, and in the same month he granted a nonexclusive license to the corporation, Hook & Ackerman...
