Edward T. Dobbins died on February 17, 1906, leaving a will and codicils, by which, inter alia, he devised and bequeathed his residuary estate to his executors in trust to pay the income therefrom to his sister, Mary A. Dobbins, for life. By the sixteenth paragraph of the first codicil to his will, testator provided as follows:

"After the death of my sister, Mary A. Dobbins, I order...
